The ELT Council’s mission is to support, regulate, and promote excellence within Malta’s English Language Teaching (ELT) sector. Established under Legal Notice 221 of 2015, and operating under the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation.

ICEF and FELTOM have co created a new destination-focused certification programme, the Malta Agent Training Course (MATC). This was launched via the professional training arm of the ICEF Academy. It is the 8 ^th country specific course in the ICEF academy and the first for Malta.
