Training Workshop for Accreditation Officers
Who should attend?
This training will be relevant to the current AO’s who are already familiar with the scheme’s standards and criteria. Any new AO’s are welcome to attend, however, they will still need to attend the CPD Foundation Training workshop aimed at new AO’s, which will be held in the second quarter of next year.

Jason Aquilina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in biology and chemistry. This was followed by a Master of Arts degree in Islands and Small State Studies in the areas of environment and international relations. He has also obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Vocational Education and Training. Jason is currently employed with the University of Malta where he lectures in biology at the Junior College. This follows previous employment as lead verifier and lecturer at MCAST. His career started as a scientist with what was then, the Malta Standards Authority (now MCCAA) in the fields of certification and accreditation. Jason has been involved with FELTOM since the inception of the accreditation scheme in 2006. He has led inspections in various EFL schools. As of 2013, he acts as chairman of the Accreditation Council of FELTOM and has been actively involved in administering and developing the accreditation scheme.
Ing. Claude Farrugia is a Mechanical Engineer and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health in the UK. He is recognised as a competent health and safety practitioner by the Malta Occupational Health and Safety Authority and as an Inspector for the petroleum inland (retail) fuel market by the Malta Resources Authority. He is also an ISO9001 Lead Auditor, an OHSAS18001 Internal Auditor as well as a qualified EPRDM (Energy Performance Rating of Dwellings) Assessor in Malta. In 2007, he set up his own private practice providing advisory services on occupational health and safety and quality management, and built up a respectable list of clients from various sectors of industry. In 2009, he joined Resolve Consulting Limited as a director and shareholder. Claude has been an Inspector for the FELTOM since 2007.
